【Able News columnist Jang Ji-yong】I want to point out a very heartbreaking fact. It has been confirmed for the first time that the awareness of disability employment among the 2030 male group is tragic.

  In a public opinion poll conducted by Korean Research at the beginning of last month, commissioned by the weekly magazine SisaIN, the support rate for mandatory employment of disabled people did not exceed 50% among the 2030 male group, and particularly among men in their 30s, the support and opposition rates were both counted equally at 47%.

  Considering that in other age groups and the results of surveys among women, the lowest support rate was still above half at 61% (40s men), it can be said that the awareness attitude toward disability employment among the 2030 male group has reached a dangerously low level.

  Given that the awareness level of disability employment among the 2030 male group is at this level, this situation can be regarded as an indicator of the long-term crisis of disability employment. If they enter the workforce as a major demographic, it implies that this could ultimately lead to a regression in disability employment policies.

  Of course, the disability community may have some explanations for the current situation, but it should not be forgotten that practical awareness improvement regarding disabled people, especially in terms of disability employment, is a more urgent issue.

  The moment disability employment regresses, it must be made known to non-disabled people that a real crisis is approaching. That the taxes they have to pay will increase. That the way to reduce their taxes is through disability employment. There is now enough basis to explain disability employment realistically, even without diversity logic. The era where it can be adequately explained based on that is fully open. Really!
