[P&P News=Masungbae Reporter] The government will recruit 68 national civil servants this year to expand opportunities for public service for persons with severe disabilities. This selection will take place in various fields, including administration, computer science, agriculture, marine fisheries, and health, and those ultimately selected will work in central administrative agencies.
The Human Resources Innovation Office announced on the 14th the ‘2025 plan for the national civil servant competitive examination for persons with severe disabilities’ and stated that applications will be accepted from March 11 to 17.

Various support measures have been prepared to ensure smooth examination participation for persons with severe disabilities. First, when registering for the application, candidates can register the contact information of family members or friends to receive guidance at each stage of the exam. Additionally, for interviews, customized conveniences tailored to the type of disability will be provided, including allowance for assistive devices, written interviews, and separate exam room assignments.
The method for submitting supporting documents for successful candidates in the document screening has been improved to allow online submission in addition to regular mail. Support for adapting to the work environment, such as wheelchair mobility assistance and providing height-adjustable desks, will continue even after passing.
The recruitment of national civil servants with severe disabilities has been steadily conducted every year since its introduction in 2008. Starting with 18 in the first year, a total of 480 individuals have entered public service to date, and as of last year, there are 1,200 civil servants with severe disabilities working in central government ministries.
