2025 budget of 35.3452 trillion won…A 4.9% increase compared to this year’s main budget
Focused investment in work-family balance and protection of vulnerable workers…“We will do our best for swift execution”
The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that it will focus its 2025 budget on supporting work-family balance, protecting vulnerable workers, and enhancing youth future opportunities.
Accordingly, it will increase support for work-family balance by raising parental leave benefits and invest 16 billion won in supporting workplace improvements and the rectification of illegal and unfair practices for vulnerable workers.
In addition, it plans to strengthen youth employment support infrastructure by establishing specialized programs for graduates and tailored employment services for university and high school students, and to ensure the safety and life of workers by promoting technical guidance for accident-related disasters.
In particular, the Ministry of Employment plans to do its best for swift execution so that the budget approved by the National Assembly can be effectively used for citizens facing difficulties, including vulnerable workers.

Meanwhile, it plans to reinforce job expansion projects by expanding employment incentives for people with disabilities and establishing a standard workplace leap support type, as well as strengthening the employment success package and expanding digital training centers.
