Employment Minister Encourages Employees of Excellent Companies for Consulting on Employment of Persons with Disabilities
[SEOUL=Newsis] Reporter Ji Eun Kang = The government conducted a consultation on large companies that underemployed people with disabilities last year, and found that 52 companies employed a total of 388 people with disabilities.
Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jung-sik visited Hanwha Life Insurance in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 26th to encourage employees of companies that excelled in consulting on the employment of people with disabilities and to hear various on-site opinions from workers with disabilities.
The Disability Employment Consulting Program is a project of the Korea Disability Employment Agency that diagnoses the employment conditions of companies with disabilities, identifies factors that contribute to sluggish employment, and provides customized employment services based on this.
