Gyeonggi Province has decided to pilot a disabled youth internship (corporate experience) targeting 20 public institutions and will select 31 people.
Previously, Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon accepted a proposal from a job club made up of disabled youth students during the ‘Opportunity Log IN for Disabled Youth, Hope Savings ON for Gyeonggi Province’ event held at Yongin Kangnam University on March 28, where they suggested a ‘Disabled Youth Internship Program in Public Institutions in the Province.’
Accordingly, based on the results of the pilot operation at 20 public institutions this year, the internship program will be expanded to all public institutions starting in 2026.
The target participants are unemployed disabled youth aged between 19 and 39. Recruitment will be conducted in two phases. The first round of recruitment will start on August 4 at 10 institutions, including the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, selecting 16 people. Final successful applicants will undergo preliminary vocational training through the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and will start working at each institution after September 1.
