  The rise of the FIFA Online Para eSports supernova. That’s exactly what Park Joo-hyun (21, retarded) said.

  Despite having limited use of his lower body and difficulty raising his arms beyond 90 degrees, he has no problem using a gamepad to play Fifa Online.

  Joo Hyun entered Yonsei University’s computer science department in 2022. Due to COVID-19, the first semester of his freshman year was replaced by online classes, and he was able to continue his studies, but in the second semester, his health deteriorated as he switched to in-person classes.

  He decided to take a leave of absence in 2023 due to his deteriorating health and coding studies, and turned his attention to FIFA Online, which he was deeply fascinated by at the time.

  He had a strong desire to be recognized for his skills through FIFA Online, and was drawn to the game because it gave him a sense of accomplishment and allowed him to compete with players from around the world.

  He loves soccer, citing Son Heung-min as his favorite sports player, so the strategic elements and team play required in FIFA Online, similar to real-world soccer, appealed to him even more.
